You shouldn’t ask your residents to do anything that you wouldn’t do yourself.
You should be there to motivate the residents in the recovery program to take care of themselves. All residents need to be interviewed, to ascertain their previous drug and alcohol history and level of commitment to staying sober.
Weekly rent is typically $135-$200. If approved, you should require a $540-$600 non-refundable deposit which represents the first two weeks in advance, last week, and one week security. Also require a 3-month commitment. All residents must sign a rent agreement and house rules agreement. Failure to obey these rules will result in termination of resident status and all monies will be forfeited.
